Intelligent document processingIDP
Using OCR, machine learning and language models to turn documents such as scans, PDFs and forms into structured, usable data.
Intelligent document processing covers the pipeline from raw files to clean data: image preprocessing, OCR, layout understanding, field extraction into a schema, classification and validation.
Modern IDP uses language models for the judgment-heavy parts, such as understanding context or normalizing messy values, while keeping deterministic checks for validation. The output feeds databases, workflows or a RAG index.
