PII anonymization

Detecting personally identifiable information, such as names, addresses and ID numbers, and masking or replacing it before data is stored, shared or sent to a model.

Many valuable document collections contain personal data. Anonymization detects it and replaces it with placeholders, consistently across the whole document so that the same person keeps the same tag.

Production-grade anonymization combines contextual detection by language models with pattern rules and document-wide matching of variants, measures its accuracy on labeled samples, and applies stricter rules for sensitive groups such as minors.
